Anthony Whiteman
Anthony recently choreographed Imaginary , a new musical commissioned by National Youth Music Theatre. Book and lyrics are by Timothy Knapman with music and lyrics by Stuart Matthew Price, the production played its premier at The Other Palace.
Previous to this, Anthony choreographed the Italian Tour of APL’s Alice In Wonderland. Directed by Edward Johnson, the show previewed from the 23rd February and tours until May 2017.
As a hugely experienced West End performer, Anthony has also worked on various productions as a Choreographer and as Assistant and Associate Choreographer including ‘The Producers’ (UK Tour), ‘Hairspray’ (Leicester Curve), ‘Mary Poppins’ (Reykjavik) and ‘In the Dead of Night’ for which Anthony was nominated for Best Choreographer for the OFFIES. Anthony choreographed ‘Bye Bye Birdie’ in the Summer of 2016 as well as working with Choreographer Lee Proud on Thom Southerland’s ‘Grand Hotel’ at Southwark Playhouse. Bye Bye Birdie has already landed Anthony an Offie nominations for Best Choreographer.
Other choreography work includes Cinderella at Beck Theatre Hayes for Qdos Pantomimes, Side By Side By Sondheim starring at the Brockley Jack Studio Theatre; new musical, The White Feather, at the Union Theatre; Legally Blonde, Upstairs at The Gatehouse; Associate Choreographer to Lee Proud on the sell out production of Grey Gardens at the Southwark Playhouse; Wizard of Oz (Italian Tour).
Anthony choreographed ‘The Adventures of Pinocchio’ this Summer as The Ambassadors Theatre, London and will choreograph Priscilla Queen of the Desert at the prestigious Arts Educational School later this year.
